Nancy's New Adventure

Hello Everyone,

So many of you said that you wanted to keep in touch with me to see what I was up to. I set up this blog so that you can find out what I'm doing at Kindred Spirits Quilt Co, what patterns I'm designing, how big Kadie is getting (Emily too)... and whatever else I have to tell you about.

Gone to Pieces is officially closed. My last day in the store was Feb 13. Since then, I have been busy helping Michelle get her new store ready for you to enjoy. We have been buying fabric (my most favorite thing to do), ordering notions, books and patterns, making samples (I've actually been feels so good!), re-organizing the store, and planning classes.

I am also working on my Graphic Design (and Web Design) certificate on-line. At the moment I am learning to use Adobe Illustrator, which will come in handy for my pattern designing, my other most favorite thing to do.

I am really looking forward to seeing all of you again.... I gotta tell you, you're going to love Michelle, she's been great to work with. She's smart, has a great sense of humour and is so nice to be around. The new store opens March 18th with a Grand Opening Celebration on March 27th. It's going to be extra special for me because we have Jane from Jane's In Stitches joining in on the fun. She is bringing a machine to Kindred Spirits Quilt Co. and will do customer consultations right at 211 Martindale. How convenient for us all!

I hope that you will visit my blog often. I am planning to make blogging a pretty big part of my life. (One day designing the graphics for them) It sure is a lot of fun and there's some great free stuff out there to make them look pretty. Maybe you should try it too!

Come back soon,

P.S. Above is the latest picture of Kadie. She's 6 months old now and has grown into a beautiful golden girl. What would I do without her?

  3. glad to see that you have the blog. It will be nice to hear from you this way. I will miss your store emails.

  4. So glad to hear all is well ... let the adventure begin! I've only travelled to St. Catharines 2 or 3 times to shop at Gone to Pieces, but it was such fun every time (wish I lived closer). I am intrigued enough to make the effort again to see the new/transformed shop in all its glory.

  5. It is so good to see this blog begin. I have been going through "quilt class withdrawal"!! Can hardly wait to attend classes at the new store and see the new supplies. It will be great to see you again.

  6. love that you have started this...I can just imagine where you will take things. You can tap into those way too busy to relax women who need to escape work. whether is at home or outside the home. Looking forward to following your blog, Nancy. Hugs to Cady and Emily xo aUdrey

  8. Sorry, I spelled Kadie wrong!! Don't tell her!
