Presenting "Happy Spring"!

Well, here it is!

This little wall hanging finishes 6 1/2" x 22"

The pattern is available at Kindred Spirits Quilt Co. in St. Catharines, ON

for $7.95 or the kit is $32.95.

The kit includes all the fabric including backing, batting and the 6" hanger. All you need is thread and a bit of DMC floss. The background for the bunny block is a lovely variegated fabric that goes from pink to blue for the sky and then into a green for the grass.

There are sooooo many beautiful fabrics, I won't be able to sew fast enough. I do have lots of pattern ideas though so I can't wait! :-)

Everything went so well on Saturday at the Grand Opening. The Mayor, Brian McMullan, cut the ribbon to officially open the store at 2pm. Everything was buzzing with excitement and the goodies were awesome. It was great to see so many familiar faces. I'm sure many of you could see how happy I am to be working at Kindred Spirits. I am enjoying the things that I love to do most. I am writing the newsletters for Michelle.

Nancy's New Adventure

Hello Everyone,

So many of you said that you wanted to keep in touch with me to see what I was up to. I set up this blog so that you can find out what I'm doing at Kindred Spirits Quilt Co, what patterns I'm designing, how big Kadie is getting (Emily too)... and whatever else I have to tell you about.

Gone to Pieces is officially closed. My last day in the store was Feb 13. Since then, I have been busy helping Michelle get her new store ready for you to enjoy. We have been buying fabric (my most favorite thing to do), ordering notions, books and patterns, making samples (I've actually been sewing....it feels so good!), re-organizing the store, and planning classes.

I am also working on my Graphic Design (and Web Design) certificate on-line. At the moment I am learning to use Adobe Illustrator, which will come in handy for my pattern designing, my other most favorite thing to do.

I am really looking forward to seeing all of you again.... I gotta tell you, you're going to love Michelle, she's been great to work with. She's smart, has a great sense of humour and is so nice to be around. The new store opens March 18th with a Grand Opening Celebration on March 27th. It's going to be extra special for me because we have Jane from Jane's In Stitches joining in on the fun. She is bringing a machine to Kindred Spirits Quilt Co. and will do customer consultations right at 211 Martindale. How convenient for us all!

I hope that you will visit my blog often. I am planning to make blogging a pretty big part of my life. (One day designing the graphics for them) It sure is a lot of fun and there's some great free stuff out there to make them look pretty. Maybe you should try it too!
